Training & Education
- 'Let's Talk About Dementia' 3 sessions for people living with dementia, their carers and professionals. Delivered online or face to face. Session 1 - The 5 Most Important Things You Need to Know About Dementia; Session 2 -Living Well With Dementia; Session 3 - Looking Ahead: Planning For The Future
- 'Boost Your Brain to Beat Dementia' Half day interactive workshop -Dementia Prevention Education: addressing the 14 modifiable risk factors for dementia to build brain resilience
- 'Dementia Ally Training' 1 day interactive workshop which includes 'Boost Your Brain to Beat Dementia' plus training in skills to enable participants to raise awareness and support people in their community
- 'Wellness 4 U' awareness raising sessions delivered to marginalised community groups to introduce the concept of health promotion and prevention of ill-health, particularly heart disease, diabetes and dementia. Also addresses the stigma and shame associated with mental health issues and dementia
- Bespoke training to address specific needs identified by an organisation - personalised, respectful, safe care and support; boundaries and confidentiality; safeguarding adults; introduction to behavioural change in health promotion & health improvement; befriending people living with dementia with meaningful activities for volunteers; end of life care for people affected by dementia dementia
- Wellbeing at Work Half Day workshop to address work/life balance to optimise wellbeing and improve attendance and productivity
- Cultural Competence and Inclusion (CPD Accredited) Half Day workshop - provides an insight into how becoming culturally competent and inclusive can help you to feel more confident to understand, communicate and interact with people across cultures
